One of the most anticipated events of the Sapphire City Festival is the Finale Day.
It is a day for the community, with free entertainment at all the scheduled activities. In fact, there is no charge to attend any of the days events and you don’t need to spend a cent if you don’t wish to.
Campbell Park makes a magnificent backdrop for the culmination of seventeen days of festivities. The entertainment commences with the Poet’s Breakfast for the early risers and continues after the parade as the carnival atmosphere of the Telstra Inverell Finale Evening takes hold. Besides entertainment, there are carnival rides, the great duck race, the crowning ceremony and the announcement of the parade winners thanks to parade sponsors McLane Care. The Fireworks Spectacular off the Town Bridge must be seen to be believed and provides a fitting end to the Festival Program.
The Kazoos and friends will be performing two shows on the main stage at 10:30 and 12pm. There will also be a chance to meet Big Bear Brown, Mama Roo and her Joey Peakaboo.
